There are 3 varieties of sea turtle that nest regularly in Dominica, The giant leatherback, the hawksbill and the green turtles. They nest all around the island, but Castle Bruce Beach, close to our rainforest accommodations, is one of their most popular destinations.

As well as migratory whales, Dominica has many whales that actually reside in the surrounding waters. Whale watching tours can be arranged on request, and rum punch is provided on the boat, ensuring a good time is had by all !

Dominica is home to hundreds of species of birds, including two indigenous parrotts, The Sisserou and the Jaco, both of which are seen regularly in our rainforest establishment. Bird watching tours with serious experts are available on request.
